This interactive course supports managers and supervisors to build emotionally intelligent, resilient and appropriately boundaried teams. It focuses on helping leaders understand stress responses, emotional intelligence and communication under pressure, while strengthening their ability to maintain healthy boundaries and empower staff to take ownership of their own challenges. 

What You’ll Learn

  • Understand how stress physiology (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) impacts behaviour, boundaries and communication at work 

  • Distinguish between emotional discomfort and genuine risk, responding proportionately and professionally 

  • Recognise when over-functioning for their team is undermining accountability, confidence and resilience 

  • Apply the Zone of Helpfulness model to provide an appropriate level of support 

  • Use the CARE model to support staff in developing assertiveness and confidence in difficult interactions
