This course has been designed for Managers who are taking a lead role in their teams or services and aims to strengthen confidence, capability, and consistency by exploring the practical realities of their role, particularly where organisations can struggle most- threshold decision-making, the distinction between duty of care and safeguarding, and consistent oversight of concerns in a complex setting.  The session is highly practical and reflective, supporting Managers to strengthen confidence, consistency, and safeguarding leadership. 

The day is designed to be highly practical, offering Managers/Seniors an opportunity to reflect upon what is working well within their services and what they can do to make drive improvement in practice and organisational culture.

  • Explore safeguarding fundamentals to ensure all Lead Officers and Managers have a consistent understanding and approach. 

  • Clearly distinguish between duty of care and safeguardingand respond appropriately to each
