This half-day training considers the fundamental principles of good practice, providing an opportunity to reflect on essential yet often misunderstood issues - including the meaning and purpose of professional boundaries, duty of care and professionalism, and the power imbalance within the support relationship. Suitable as an introduction for new staff or a refresher for more established staff.

  • Professional boundaries and good practice - definitions, importance and impact 

  • Good practice around personal disclosure, physical contact and inter-colleague relationships 

  • Establishing boundaries whilst maintaining relationships

Highly interactive, combining trainer presentations, co-coaching activities, small group work, large group discussions, case studies and quizzes. Available in-person or online.
