Suitable for: Group Leaders & Support Staff 

This course enables group leaders to consider best practice in setting up, running and closing groups. It develops the skills to lead when required - and equally to move a group toward self-sufficiency and peer leadership, creating truly sustainable outcomes. 

What You’ll Learn

  • Set up sustainable support groups using principles of co-production 

  • Create an environment of psychological safety and respect for all participants 

  • Use theories of group work to assist moving groups toward being peer-led 

  • Safely end groups with participation from members and signposting to other services 

  • Develop group administration skills - planning, recording and evaluating outcomes
