Bitesize Wellbeing Session
Core Skills Training • Duration: 1.5 hours
Suitable for: All Staff
Designed for team members to explore personal wellbeing in a challenging sector, this bite-size session will equip participants with practical tools and strategies to enhance their personal wellbeing and resilience. Participants will gain personal insight into how stress impacts them and will practice techniques such as breathwork and mindfulness that will help them deal with stressful events as they occur.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore their own emotional responses to scenarios and identify personal habits they may not have previously been aware of. Participants will also learn practical tools to manage their emotions to ensure a calm and focussed response to different situations or people.
What You’ll Learn
Define and explore terms related to personal wellbeing and self care.
Apply a tool to assess their own stress risk factors and identify coping strategies.
Practice techniques to manage stress and build personal resilience.
Course Content
Exploration of overwhelm and burnout, and the impact of stress on the brain and body.
Brabban and Turkington’s ‘Stress Bucket’ model.
Practical techniques to de-escalate stress (tools which can be used in the immediate, medium or longer term including breathing and mindfulness techniques)
